About the role   

Join our client-focused team of 10 as a Software Engineer in Wellington, New Zealand, where you'll provide vital technical support to our customers. This full-time role, reporting to the team lead, offers a supportive environment and growth opportunities. Your duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in software implementation and testing, drawing on your experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies and familiarity with the software development lifecycle.

  • Using your strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyse alternatives, and implement effective solutions.

  • Preparing project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, quality assurance and test procedures, and delivery documentation.

  • Collaborating with IDS subject matter experts in New Zealand and abroad to ensure effective communication and project delivery.

  • Assisting with technical proposal preparations to support business growth and development.s

Experience and qualifications    

  • Proven work experience using JavaScript, Python and C++ or similar

  • New Zealand citizenship and willingness to complete a pre-employment medical & background check

  • Bachelor of Software Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience in software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum, and familiarity with the software development lifecycle.

  • Shown strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyse alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
